Muscat Municipality is organizing a MRI ball tournament annually . Today 02-11-2018'...... the first match was between Muscat Steels and United Friends Club, United Friends won the toss and elected to bat first. Mr vimal was appointment as captain by Ucc core selection committee and team was selected on the basis of performance and in tandem giving chance to new players to perform well in the tournament.
- We started quite well in the first over, opening batsman were Irshan and Illyas. Both batted reasonably well. Unfortunately Illyas got out by stumping.
- By the decision of captain Vimal, Rudra was asked to go for the 1st down and he performed well and he hit 2 sixes in that over.
- later Irshan got out and Muneer came in 3rd down and he was run out by taking an extra run.
- Finally we ended up scoring 49 in 8 overs. Which was more than satisfactory.
- Our bowlers were outstanding today Rudra and Irshan bowled in very good length and took 2 wickets each. And the fascinating thing is Eshwar took a fantastic catch in the first over.
To sum up, we lost by 6 wickets and opponent team chased the target with in 5 overs.
